June Arnold is Head of Policy at Gafta, the International Grain and Feed Trade Association and is based in Switzerland. For over 13 years, June has been responsible for policy at Gafta and focusing on global agricultural policy, market access and trade issues. She is currently Chair of the IGTC MRL working group, is an active member of the IAFN coalition on Codex enhancement and completed a two-year term as the private sector representative to the Committee on World Food Security, Bureau and Advisory Group at FAO. She is a Board member of Celcaa and a member of GPC Market Access and MRL committees.
June has over 20 years’ experience in EU and International public affairs gained from working with the EU and major business led organisations. Following her graduation with MA in European Integration: Economics, Law and Politics, June started her career in the European Commission with the Task Force for Accession Negotiations, responsible for the agricultural chapters (Estonian team) during the accession negotiations for the 10 candidate countries. During her seven years in Brussels, she gained experience working in European organisations, representing the soft drinks industry, cereal trading and first processing sectors.
